Elevations Residential Treatment Center
Elevations RTC is a residential treatment center in Utah that advertises it can "help boys and girls from ages of 13-17 overcome challenges stemming from mental health problems, emotional disorders, learning disorders, substance abuse, and other underlying issues." 〔http://www.elevationsrtc.com/〕
== Background ==
The Syracuse campus opened in 1994 as the Island View Residential Treatment Center.〔
In 2004, the residential treatment center was acquired by Aspen Education Group of CRC Health Group, a company owned by Bain Capital. Aspen and CRC Health Group owned and operated the Syracuse campus until 2014, when it was sold to Syracuse RTC for $442,574 〔(【引用サイトリンク】accessdate=13 October 2015 )〕 and renamed Elevations RTC. In May of that year, David Hans, the then Island View executive director announced that Island View made a "clean break" from its "previous corporate owner" and had changed its name to Elevations RTC. Island View's registration with the Utah Division of Corporations is listed as "expired."
In November 2014, Elevations RTC filed a lawsuit under its legal name Syracuse RTC against the program's former owners, Island View Residential Treatment Center and Aspen Education Group, for breach of contract.
